The Molecular Zoology Lab (MoZoo Lab) includes the following facilities:

Two general-purpose molecular laboratories, which include all the apparels for DNA and RNA extraction, electrophoresis, PCR, southern blotting, etc. The Labs include several work benches as well, and more than 30 people (including students) use the Lab as their main research space.

Two hatcheries for invertebrate animals, including insects (termites and stick insects), bivalve mollusks and crustaceans.

Reference specimen voucher collections of worldwide Bivalvia, Mediterranean stick insects and termites.

The Lab members have also free access to other facilities of the Department, including SEM and TEM electronic microscopes, FISH and confocal microscopes, etc.
